Cascades is located behind Colombo Plaza next to Crescat Boulevard on the land side of Galle road in Colombo Area 3. It is a popular night club with an ambiance similar to any in a western country. 

Dancing goes on till 05:00 in the morning to hip hop, R&B and other dance music in the restricted space available. It can get crowded and you might step on a few toes. It is supposed to be for couples and members only, but the rules are not that strict although you do have to adhere to the dress code and no shorts and sandals are allowed.

Heladiv Tea Club is a quiet, cool restaurant at the Dutch Hospital for sandwiches, waffles, a wide range of teas and even wine. Heladiv is like a tea lounge (much like Dilmah) with a little bit of a club vibe, with their dark leather seating, low lighting, electric green lights at the bar, especially in the evenings when it's more crowded.

Semondu 
Semondu is Sri Lankan Airlines' attempt at semi-fine dining. They serve up continental fusion cuisine, and for the most part, they do it well. 

Colombo Fort Cafe
Colombo Fort Cafe, run by Harpo's, is one of the better places to dine in at the Dutch Hospital complex. They do a range of meats, pastas, pizzas, and tapas and burgers if you're looking to snack on something a little lighter - either way, if you don't go too crazy with the drinks and desserts.

Taphouse by R & R
An absolute stunner of a "Taphouse", its' outside seating is a great place to get together on a windy/rainy evening.  The inside seating looks like all other normal pubs. The highlight are the live music band singing various English soft rock & jazz songs. Here Beer is really cheap compared to the other places.
